2007 Logic 7 Amp failed! Options?
My amp for my Logic 7 has failed in my 2007 335i and its past its warranty and the dealer wants 1450 for a replacement.
What are my options? Does anyone have one they want to sell? thanks Chris |

Try to find a used one....as long as it's the same part #, you can have it coded to your car.
I beleive the L7 amp in our cars is used in a few other BMW models. Or you could get your HU recoded to HiFi? and put in a JBL MS8 using Technic's harness. |

Amazon "accidentally" had a sale on them for previous customers for less than that... a bunch of people bought multiple units and listed them. They might be harder to find on fleabay now. I know of at least one guy who contacted me about warrantying his ebay MS8, and I couldn't help him - had to send him to JBL, who didn't want to help him either.
My price isn't something I can list publicly, but we have a great deal on MS-8, especially if you are getting something else from us. |

To be able to recode it to HiFi, it would have to be the "standard" CD player right? Not the iDrive. I am unclear if the OP has iDrive or not. I do and my options to bypass the factory amp are minimal.

There is no functional difference in this case. Both the iDrive and the Professional CD player can appear in base Stereo cars, and so both can be coded for that application. Apparently the most recent head units aren't recodable yet by some SW (I believe that the EU dealer SW can do it), but the principle holds.
