BMW should offer, for a charge of course, a GPS tracking number for each car ordered. I would have been happy to pay the extra money.

Perhaps with the currents in the Pacific the ship will arrive in PH early.

Any more information would be appreciated.
It takes six days from the PanCanal to PH. Since she'll be through the canal on the 19, she should reach Port Hueneme on Feb 25, as scheduled. As long as it wasn't a euro delivery, you should have it by the end of that week.

Thats what i thought, but the AE was supposed to go through the canal on the 17th and then on the 18 and according to the latest position it won't go through till the 19th.

It's original date into PH was the 25th, but with three days of set backs who knows when it will be there. I'm guessing the 28th.

She's starting to go through the Panama Canal. Watch the web cameras.

Here's another shot. I am not sure this is her, but it looks like her. We will see the name when she gets up close. I have to leave for awhile, so hopefully someone else can capture images.

Asian Emperor might be the ship coming in behind the one in the lock. I am not sure.

Here's another view. We will have to determine later if this is her. The other ship is behind her in the next lock over. I can't find enough photos online to determine if this is Asian Emperor.

Here's another view. Unfortunately, the ship I think is Asian Emperor is next to this ship in the forefront. It is a similarly looking ship in the next lock over, just out of view.

I just looked on ais radar. I think that is the Maersk Wind in the forefront and AE is next to her.

Yes, I was correct. Here is AE just coming into view in the next lock over.

The next camera to watch is the Centennial Bridge. It takes an hour or two for a ship to get from Gatun to Centennial Bridge.

Thanks for all the updates! I'm refreshing

http://webcams.pancanal.com/webcam/cerro-luisa.jpg

currently.

Edit: Argh the camera keeps pivoting which confuses me. I can't decide which direction it is pointed... perhaps south-west?

On the bottom left of the PanCanal camera web page there is a box that read, "Which direction is the web cam pointing." See if that helps your orientation.

Here's an updated AIS radar page. This shows she is sitting in the bay outside of Gatun Locks. She's gone through the Gatun Locks and is sitting in the bay for whatever reason. The red arrow means her engines are off. Sometimes they sit here for awhile as they await their turn to go through the Mira Flores Locks. I once saw a ship sit here for hours, but I can't tell you if this will be the case with AE. Also, remember that these AIS radar pages can be delayed by up to an hour.

From Gatun Locks to Mira Flores Locks takes quite awhile. I can't remember exactly, maybe one or two hours, for the ship to reach Mira Flores. The entire PanCanal passage is 50 miles.

The next camera to watch is Centennial Bridge. She has to pass under that bridge to get to Mira Flores Locks. Once you see her on the Centennial Bridge camera, she's just around the corner from the Mira Flores Locks (like maybe 15 minutes away), so don't go far.

Ah I see, I think I figured out the orientation based on google maps.

Based on the current webcam shot, I think we are looking north-west towards this bridge, based on the steps in the shoreline just in front of it.

This is a good shot from Mira Flores Locks looking eastward towards the Centennial Bridge. Look in the distance and you can see the bridge up in the sky between those two mountains.

This ship is Heijin which going through Mira Flores right now, but I wanted to post this angle so you can see the bridge in the distance and get your orientation. The PanCanal camera operators do periodically flip the angles of this camera. I even once emailed them and requested for them to change the camera angle for me so I could see my ship better and they did! Great group!
