Anyone with BMW M5 style replica wheels?
If so, you have any pics and what finish and sizes you got? I'm looking to get a set, but want to go 18" not 19" cause of the holes in NYC. You guys have any pics of 18. Do you recommend the the silver or chrome? I have a 335xi Montego Blue Sedan. Does it matter if this is a xi or not?

Based on this and private discussions with members like magmd, I feel pretty comfortable going with 19s, even though there will be marginally less rubber on the rim. As for color, I didn't think that M5 reps came in chrome? Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but real OE M5 wheels are only silver, not bright polished chrome. As such, and even if they do come in chrome, I would definitely suggest silver. Good luck! Whatever way you go, it will look great on your sedan.

Thanks. I see that people really don't have any complaint unless they fall in a hole; I'm a careful driver myself. But I would go with an 18" M5 wheel if it looks the same as the 19" on my car. I want to see how they look on a Montego Blue sedan. Anybody with pics or forum that has it?

I know it may not be soon enough, but I'll be able to post a picture in about 2 weeks. I have allready purchased the 18" M5 reps, they are sitting patiently in my garage. I have a e90 328i on order in Montego blue that should be here around Christmas.

Hypersilver fo sho.
They do come in chrome...I have seen them before. I would not recommend them. 18 vs 19....they look very similar. The only people that can tell the difference are people on this board!! LOL! I went with 19's b/c I think cosmetically...they look better. But if your main concern is damage, etc. 18's will be fine. Good luck man.

I want looks and performance. I'm more performance based, but from reading several sites that sell them (http://www.mileoneparts.com/partloca...subcat2=121694), they say these rims are just for 335i not for the xi. What do you guys think.

I don't think it really matters. I believe they are worried about promoting these wheels as winter wheels. Particularly if you have an xi...it woud seem that you chose this car b/c you want AWD at some points, and they do not want you to believe these are the best winter wheels.
Whether they are appropriate for winter/snow...I dunno...I only used them in Calif and never had a problem. If you will use them year round in NYC...you may want to ask some of the local guys what they think about the rep wheels in the winter season. Size wise...it should not matter if you are i vs xi.

Na, I'm looking to get a good deal now, so when spring comes around, I throw on the wheels. Right now, I have the 17" all season 225 all around. I'm going to use them as winter tires and get the other rims with high performance tires for the warmer weather. How will the front (225)and rear (255) benifit me better than using a 225 all around or 235?
