NextBase Dash Cam Hard wire

I have just bought Nextabse 512GW , I want to Hardwire it to my E91 Touring.

Has anyone done that if so can someone please give me some instruction which fuse to use for Hardwire..

i too would be interested.... ideally one that wont throw codes for battery drain?

what are you after? off when engine is off or?

Yeah off when engine is off and on when ignition is on.

Hope this helps. It is using the Nextbase hardwire kit and powers on and off with the ignition. This is connected to the fuse box behind the glove box in my E91 335i.

Yes mate. It's in the 5th position from the left, 2nd row down. The fuse is the one removed from that position on the fuseboard and fitted to the Nextbase hardwire cable so the tapped circuit is still protected by the correct amp fuse. There is another fuse further down the cable protecting the dashcam. If you have access to to a circuit tester it would be best to check that this position in your fuseboard behaves in the same manner as mine. For reference my car is a late 2007 e91 335i. Hope this helps.

Mine is a 2006 330d, I’m sure when I open the fuse box it won’t be much of the difference just waiting for the Hardwire to come now..
