sky advice

hi, my dad is thinking of getting sky

he only wants it for football, doesnt need hd or multiroom, but would like 'sky go' so he can watch on laptop/ipad etc. he's never had any sky before and has no dish. there are no cable options where he lives (as far as we know).

any advice? looks like a bare minimum option is £42 / month for sky sports + the basic pack, with free box and free setup.

can it be any cheaper? is combining it with broadband/phone a good option?

thanks (i know absolutely zero about sky, hence why asking)

If it does work out better to add stuff like internet and phone then go for it. Moving to Sky was one of my better decisions.

thanks for the tips, best i could manage on the phone was half price for 6 months - so basic with sports about £23/month to start with free sky+ box and install. had to take entertainment extra to get this as no deals on the minimum package, so normal price for that + sports will be £47/month (not the absolute min of £42).

i guess that after 12 months, you can threaten to leave and get new offers?
