^^^ Give it another month or 2. I think you can get one now for invoice... any m3 would just blow the new 335is out of the water in terms of status/looks/fun to driveness. I just feel bad when a m3 rolls by me, or parked next to my car cause they realize this is just a m3 wannabe

Does anyone know whether this 335is applies to Xdrive, too? Or the AWD will get the N55 engine?

No sh!t, sherlock. I'm not picking on anyone for sentence structure--I was just making a quick note on how pathetic it is for people to add apostrophes when noting plural form. It is such a common mistake on internet forums and it is driving me insane. It's a rule--much less open to interpretation than sentence structure.

Mind your own business. I rarely post on this forum but when I do I notice the apostrophe mistake by way too many people

I'm not a grammar nazi by any means and I don't care about casual or lazy use of language, however the apostrophe thing gets to me. It's such a simple thing. It's just a pet peeve of mine.

So the standard 335 with m-sport or sport package gets 19" wheels standard, but the 335is only get's 18" wheels? Doesn't make sense...

Did I miss the date when pictures/pricing will come out? It will be about 56K with a lot of options and that is right there with a bare bones M3, but as a DD I would like options like Navi, Auto, Heated Seats....etc. If it was a weekend warrior car then I understand why people might find this car's(correct use, are you happy?) price tough to swallow...if I was to buy a new car as a DD I would probably get the 335is with a ton of options over a stock M3. The great thing is everyone can make their own choice depending on their needs.

I currently drive an '07 [<- is an apostrophe ok here?? jp ] 335i, AT, sports pkg and my lease is up in 2 months. The residual for it is $25k and I'm leaning on buying it cuz i love the car. Should i even consider leasing one of these? I'm thinking there's just not that big of a difference for everyday driving.

And fuk up the ride. These cars are for driving, not cruising with bling.

no one's commented on the cosmetic changes, so here's my input:

black chrome tailpipes like the 135 = sweet
painted diffuser...
18" wheels are definitely better for performance
but I'm mostly excited about the fog lights being deleted for the mtech front. hopefully I can retrofit the new brake ducts to mine

and gloss black mirrors.. not too sure about that.

I'm pretty stoked BMW is making a 335iS; I've been patiently waiting to see if there'd be some kind of real "performance package" type option available from the factory, not the port.

I'm aware of the cooling kit and flash package they offer, but this appears a little more thoroughly composed.

I'm just waiting to see the price...

And don't forget the major costs when (not IF) you hit a pothole and your 19s make contact with concrete....
18s provide (usually) a better ride and some more protection against potholes.

No, you misunderstood me a bit I would NEVER TAKE A FI CAR OVER THE e92 //M3, that I have on order and if I could have I would have bought it two years ago. My point is what is the advantage once the //M goes FI, suddenly the big advantage and distinction between NA and FI goes away. Now its down to suspension only, because they even share the transmission (albeit a few teaks to the trans for the //M).

Just seems like this might eat into the F30 //M sales, that's all.

Cheers,

Sounds nice, but no reason to give up my e92 M.

The 335iS advantags:

-7 speed DCT with launch control same as the ///M3
-Aerodynamic ducting for better cooling
-Turbo's pumping out 350hp and 369 ft lbs of torque(and we all damn as well know that's going to be underrated)

I as going to buy an ///M3, but I just don't see a reason to anymore. BMW really shot themselves in the foot with this.
LOL This car isn't even out yet..It's still pretty much a bunch of figures on piece of paper. What say we hold judgment till the real thing comes around?
