you can always try this one.. I have used it in many occasions in Canada. I have also brought the same unit back to ZhuHai International Circuit in China.
Works like a charm, only downfall is that is doesnt record RPMS. But easy to transfer from one car to another. Just plug into cigerette lighter and use the suction cup to put it onto the screen. Holds really secure, even at high lateral G.
