What to look for after your e9x overheats?

So this past saturday my beloved waterpump finally went out running 90 down the interstate, I swung the car off immediately and came to a stop as the car shut itself off within about 5 seconds. I noticed after getting the car home the reservoir cap had been loosened slightly on its own and coolant had sprayed across the engine bay aswell as the upper return hose for the coolant had been slightly loosened. Should I be worried about anything or just drive? Its been 1 day of driving hard and revving out the motor and its all been well (knock on wood).

I assume you have a new pump now, correct? If so sounds like you shut it off right away as you should be fine!

The reservoir cap will release pressure and when that happens, it gets loose, that's not a problem.
