Help! Angel eyes flicker upon startup
Installed my angel eyes a few days ago and they sometimes flicker on and off when I start it up. No codes or errors pop up. Not sure why, they're lux brand. Thanks

its the bulb check, usually happens when you go LED
i coded my bulb check out so no more flickering upon start up, but if turned off, it will not notify you when it goes out. |

Meh, mine used to do that for about the first week after I got my LED's. It didn't throw up any codes, so I wasn't worried. Now it's fine.

The car checks to see if any bulbs are burned out upon start up. The problem is that LED takes less power than incandescent so every pulse causes the light to flicker. It was always doing it, it just didn't light up your old bulbs. You have a few options Live with it Change bulbs. There are some that don't flicker Have it coded out. |

Yeah they have stopped flickering if it happens again I think I am going to take them out and put them in again or have a body shop do it or something.

The lux cost $45 more and are brighter. Mtec "sound" like they are closer to stock while not quite as bright. Any insight would be appreciated. Sorry for the mild thread jack. Thanks in advance. |

A lot of modded AE's do that. I wouldn't be concerned if it doesn't bother you a hell of a lot

Flickering is from the car doing a self-check of the exterior lighting of the car. You can enable the DRl's or keep the headlights on Auto, that should help
