Suspension Swap Pricing
I’ve done some research and from what I've found, the quotes I have received are considerably more than what some people are paying. I’d just like to hear some additional pricing on what you guys are paying for labor. I've received 3 quotes on replacing JUST springs and dampers, nothing else. I've gotten back $650, $700, and $712 for just the labor. Seems high to me but let me know.

My sample size is too small, but I conclude that you get what you pay for, dealers excluded. Unless you get lucky and/or have a brilliant chum who can do the work. Good work and good parts are expensive.

$250 to $300 in SoCal when I was looking around a couple of years ago. I still needed to get an alignment afterwards, but the car drove pretty straight without one after the initial install.

Maybe you can try the regional forum and see if anyone know any better shops in the area. Last edited by boostfiend; 04-12-2013 at 06:35 PM.. |

$600-700 is a complete rip-off. that's actually pretty insulting ahhaha. just do it yourself. i did my suspension swap on my own and it took me about 3hrs. By myself. Probably helps if you've worked on cars before though. If you've never wrenched (screwdrivers and light bulb changes don't count), then it might take you about 5-6hrs? still easy and worth it, compared to spending that much money.

Alright that's what I thought, thanks for the input. Good idea on the regional forums I'll check that out.
