Unexplained Limp Mode with Rev. II

Everything was amazing until...
I was in an accident (ran over a curb head on) and had to have a bunch of work done to my car including suspension, new power steering pump, new belts, new control arm, etc. Work was done on the car with mods installed. The car handles great now, like brand new. But it looks like I have ran into a problem...

As soon as I picked up my car after the repairs from the shop, I started testing out the performance. Whenever I go WOT, I always induce "limp mode". I took it back to the shop (same day) and they told me that the code I was getting was low fuel pressure so they gave me a new fuel pump.

The next day, I go WOT again. Same thing...limp mode. I went to another shop today and we decided are going to revert to stock tomorrow and see if we have the same problems.

Given the above info, does anyone have any idea what else it could be? I'm still getting the low fuel pressure code (scanned it today). Could some valves/hoses be loose? What do you think? If I can avoid additional serious work on my car, that would be great, but I want to see what others think it could be before I go to the shop tomorrow afternoon.

sounds like something related to the crash rather than the procede

I had issues witc the IC inlet connection after major repairs... May be worth checking.

Your title should be "Unexplained Limp Mode after crash/repairs", especially if you can get the same problem running stock, or even in valet mode.

My guess is there is a leak somewhere in the system... I would check the intercooler piping as mentioned above.

Where you able to pull the codes on the limp now that you replaced the fuel pump?

so the first time you got the HPFP issue, it was stock right? and then after the HPFP was replaced, and you have the Rev II on, you got limps?

What were the surrounding temps and oil temps if you don't mind me asking?

Your title makes it sound like it is the piggy backs problem. When you bought, they asked you to please go to them first before getting eveyone else chiming in and speculating.

Please see if you can change the title of the thread until you find out the real root cause of the problem. People will remember the title and months from now and claim a root cause that may or may not be factual.

There was just another person that had a coil problem. The problem would only appear at above stock levels, but a new coil solved the problem.

I don't know how helpful we can be in this instance. All you can really do is have the body shop look at all your IC piping and make sure that there are no leaks. If all that checks out clear, the best bet would be to take it to the dealership. There is just too much that can go wrong in an accident/repair scenario to troubleshoot anything over the telephone. Needs a proper inspection by those who actually did the repair work.

This same thing happened to a fellow board member after an accident. It turned out that the rear turbo had cracked during the accident and had to be replaced. He kept getting limps during WOT. Upon putting the car up on the lift he said they could clearly see the crack in the turbo and fluid spewing from it.
