Its all OEM solution and better than after market kits. Since the HU reads the audio files directly from the source (digital files), therefore sound quality is way better than standard HU/after market kits. You can always sell your HU to compensate your funds toward this. Benefits of buying this headunit; 1- LCI chimes 2- Listen to your music through USB 3- Listen to your music though ipod / iphone / bmw y cable 4- TCU/MULF units are no longer needed and if you have one, you can sell it.
