Give northwest autoshield a try. They use VentureTape which is a better product than 3M (3M purchased VentureTape). Northwest does Phil Smart Mercedes. Ask for Neal at 206 973 9835.

I just had my and my friend's car done at Accutint in Bellevue. It's still at the final stages of curing, but it looks great! I got the 15% F1 Pinnacle film, and my friend got the 20% F1 Classic. Nice place and nice people there.

I'm also planning on a clear bra install there in a week or two.

FWIW, I'm pretty sure SteelTorque's mishap was at the Edmonds Accutint, where I haven't personally been. No excuse for what happened though!

I'll have pics up soon.

How much do they charge up there for a clear bra?

When I nonchalantly asked, they said it was $699 for the clear bra "package", which included the most common parts (front bumper, 1/3 hood/fenders, mirrors, door edges/cups, etc).

I also asked how much they'd charge for doing the rear bumper top ($80) and the lower side portion of the rear bumper notorious for getting splashed ($65/side).

I'm sure if you asked nicely, they'd give a discount.

Seems kind of pricey anyway IMO, so I'm still on the fence. I've heard stories about the E9x paint being sub par, but I almost think I'd rather just take my chances and drive a little more proactively to avoid most of the rock baths. I mean for near $1000 I could get most of the front repainted...

I just got my front end repainted due to rock chips/scratch and rather not deal with the hassle anymore.

I personally recommand the Accutint of Bellevue. We used to have a huge group tint and clear bra installed from them. Lots ppl on this form has done the job through them. I really think they did a good job on my car and all my other friend's cars. I also know the owner and one of the mamanger there too. If you need help on discount, I can make a contact for you to the owner and make a discount for you. If you want, PM me and I'll help you out.
