Only on LCI cars, pre LCI has the push/pull crappy design. I re-wired mine too as soon as I got the car, so much better this way.

Is this an easy thing to rewire? These paddles always drive me crazy.

Yes very easy;

1- disconnect the battery
2- pop your airbag off
3- remove the steering wheel trim
4- you'll see the the connector coming from the left paddle and plugging into the steering wheel harness.
5- unplug the connector and re-pin it.
^i.e. you'll have to remove the pins of the first and last wire and swap them around.
6- put everything back together. done!

This will cause the left paddle to work like this:
pull: downshift
push:upshift

i.e. opposite to the stock.

And the right paddle will remain stock, meaning;
pull: upshift
push: downshift

I went a step further and removed the third pin from my paddles, so now the pushing doesn't do anything. On my car;
(because I keep getting mixed up when I am spiritedly driving )

-Right paddle:
Pull: upshift
Push: Does nothing

-Left paddle:
Pull: downshift
push does nothing.

In the future, I am planning to slice the wires, so push or pull on each side will only work as upshift or downshift. So it'll be

-Right paddle:
Pull: upshift
Push: upshift

-Left Paddle:
Pull: downshift
Push: downshift
