Whats my next suspension mod??!
I have a 2006 BMW 325i very slow, but i need to know what suspension mod i should do next?? My car feels very "loose' on the highway, i feel like im not planted to the ground.
My current mods are: BC Racing BR Type Coils Ground Control Sway Bar Endlinks 19in Varrstoen ES6 w/ 225/35/19 and 235/35/19 Hankook Ventus V12s What should i do next to help reduce that feeling while driving? M3 control arms? front and rear sway bars? |

drive around in a Crown Vic for a week, then go back to your car. You'll love it all over again.

If you looking for more grip and solid feel.. it may be because of how low you may be. Based on the size of your tires it sounds like your stanced. if you want to improve your handling.. you may have to raise it a bit and and add some width on your tires, as a result you would reduce your camber and get some more contact patch on your tires. i have also heard from people that adding spacers may add to the loose feeling that your are having, not sure if you are running them or not.
you may consider running 255/30/19 in the rear but again... if your cambered i would fix that first before adding wider tires... waste of money if you get wider tires and only a small % actually touch the ground. but this will change the way your car would look so you may have to figure out the direction you would like to go. thanks for the tip. i am probably gonna raise the rear and get wider tires like you say. Would it matter if i went with 255/35 or 255/30?? |

Real tire sizes, throw away the BC racing suspension, M3 sub frame bushings.

And why the endlinks? Are you using them to adjust for zero preload on the ARBs after lowering?

A 225/35 would lead to "nervous handling" attributes? Regardless of the wheel size and straight line speed/unsprung weight arguments, I'm sure that would TIGHTEN handling when compared to the stock setup.

im actually running:
225/35/19 (front) 19x9 255/30/19 (rear) 19x10 and they are the closest to stock sizes you can get to the factory 18's the rolling diameter is slightly smaller. i am also on bilstein b12's and my alignment is within spec with BMW. the car rides great and the drop is very mild but the dampening is dramatically better than stock. |
