Where can I find the specific torque for spark plugs,other writeup for 330i 06 said 30NM. This writeup said 23NM. I have 325i 06?

just tighten until it stops and turn the socket maybe a quarter turn at most. NEVER overtighten a spark plug.

Is there any specfic way to put the coil back in? or does in slide in, only one way? cuz it seems all of them are in the same postion when in?

Just did this today. Used the EIS spark plug tool and a magnet to remove the plugs. Thanks for the DIY!

THANKS! This was really helpful. The only thing you left out was to use anti seize on the plug threads. My car is idling and revving much smoother now. I have 38k miles, about 4k of which was tuned)

I got to the spark plugs then realized that my extension adapter wasn't long enough to reach the plug, it is deeper than I thought.........

P.S. NM, I think we unscrew them to take them out or else we wouldn't need to torque them when installing them.......

I just grabbed mine with vise grips and pulled them out. Then I tapped them back in with 4# sledge. Car is running strangely.

Thanks for the DIY. I had purchased the Bosch plugs from Autohaus a while ago and I finally hit 23K miles so I decided it was about time.
The Bosch box says 20nm for the torque, but I applied 23nm as BMW suggested. By the way, if your torque wrench uses foot pounds instead of nm like mine, 23nm equals 17 foot pounds.
I used a $15 adapter I had bought from a seller on the forum and a 10" extension. The hardest was part pulling the coils out, I used a thick screw driver to pull them out using the hole on the cap as other people suggested.

The ECS tool didn't have a magnet on it, so I had to use needle nose pliers to get the spark plug out after I unscrewed it.

After changing my 46k miles spark plugs, I noticed right away that the engine ran smoother and quite a bit less backfire, too!

1. Removing the microfilter
2. Removing the cowling
3. removing the engine cover

Just want to be prepared before i do this

Look up the Procede install on youtube for the microfilter and cowling. Takes about 5 minutes. 6 screws on the microfilter and it just lifts off. Two screws on the cowling, pull the wireloom right in front straight out toward the front of the car and then unclip 3 clips which hold the round flex tubing in and pull it out. Also pull off the windshield washer clip near the passenger side on the cowling, the it pulls straight out.
