Thanks Enrita, I take that as a compliment. You generally seem like a very reasonable and helpful fellow, so I'll give you a clue. You guys are missing a part of the puzzle, and it amuses me immensely.

fair enough my man. I didn't call you a fanboy
and whether or not jb4 advances timing or the timing is advanced solely from the DME or octane equivalent of E85, seems a little moot when you look at the dyno and track results. I'm sure proceed does great with E85. I'm simply saying jb4 obviously does the job albeit maybe in a "different" way.

I didn't miss that thread. I'll stand behind saying that mixing at least 30% ethanol is easy, even considering the variance of ethanol content. Ethanol test tubes are easy to find, easy to use, and cheap.

The BMS can advance the ignition timing curve via flash, which forgoes using CPS offset. So yes, all tunes available now offer ignition timing advance.

The JB4 can only advance timing via flash, which unfortunately is another $700-$800.

If you aren't sure how to mix E85, I would recommend just sticking with the Procede Flex-fuel system. But if you are, just stick some E85 in there and do 2-3 log runs to ensure it's running good.

I know how to mix E85. Thanks.

Dude, I stand behind what I said on both counts. Why are you missing out the fact that BMS uses Cobb to reflash the DME? JB4 cannot advance timing as a standalone product. You have to stack Cobb with JB4 to make the BMS product work and you still don't have a tune that automatically adjusts for octane content. By the time you've spent money on a JB4 and Cobb, you could have paid for PROcede Rev2.5 + Flexfuel Kit.

Secondly, I'd love to see you at a gas station juggling test tubes, sounds like fun

Look, I know many of you guys who run other tunes like to personally attack me for presenting facts (I'm not talking about you, spool twice). Instead of having a go at me, why don't you encourage your tuner's to come up with a solution to run E85 that isn't half-baked?

So, where are your flex fuel logs?

yea I'll represent jb4. check my thread its in here. with just the jb4 G4 18ohm and downpipes I dyno'd 408/453 to the wheels on an E45 mix on a mustang dyno

I added an ER fmic and haven't redyno'd but I run easy 11s at mid 116s.

Not bad for a 'half baked' solution running a mix of E85...

Some of you suffer from intentional reading comprehension disorder, and I'm sad to say there is no known cure.

It's not clear whether JB4 is making over 400whp stacked with Cobb or by itself, so i'm going to leave it out of this comparison.

This first link shows why it is unsafe to run E85 maps without a flexfuel sensor
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=734914

Here is a dyno of a FBO Cobb car running E85 maps
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=738596

Here is a dyno of a FBO Procede car running E85 maps
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=735589

Yes, they are running different levels of ethanol, but I believe Jake@PTF said there isn't much extra power to be had with Cobb beyond a 50/50 mix. Also keep in mind that the PROcede car does not have the upgraded fuel pump that current cars are running. Wedge's FBO car is rumored to have put down 500whp, but I think that may have been with meth?

EDIT: Correction, it's not 100% clear what fuel mix the Cobb car is running, but I think both cars are 50/50 (E85/93 Pump)

Seriously, can anyone address me without calling me names? How old are we?

Thanks for clarifying, I simply did not know whether you were stacked or not. OP asked for dyno's, thats what I gave him. I'm sure there are plenty of people with 1/4 mile times that would be willing to chime in. I've got to get back to work, and I'm done here.

sowwy I was saying it in a joking friendly way. you hurt my feelers by not counting my dyno

that being said lets see some other track results (the results that matter)
I want to see proceed doing 11s on street tires full weight and no meth and stock turbos and an E85 mix. if I see something convincing, hell I might just switch LoL but I honestly don't think I'll see it. Prove me wrong !
