Comfort Access Not Working
Hey guys I picked up my 2011 335d a few months ago and never had been able to get the comfort access to work. It won't let me start the car without the key in the dash, neither door will lock/unlock when you touch the handles, and the rear trunk will not open unless the car is unlocked. I'm not getting any codes for the CAS module, so what do you guys think it might be?
One thing I did notice is that if I stick the key in the dash and remove it, I am able to push the start button and the car will start up. A few seconds after the car starts it will throw an error message saying no key found. I've replaced the battery in the key fob and it is still not working. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. |

do you have a means to read codes?
first place to start. There are multiple CA antennas inside and outside the car, so it's unlikely that it's a failure in all of them. would suspect some sort of programming issue. |

Is the dealer my only option of who can tell me if the key has been coded to work with the CA? |

you can do it in INPA.
You'll need to read out the existing keys, then use your keys to start it and note the numbers. CA only works with the top 2 keys in the list. IIRC you can do it in rheingold, but I'm unfamiliar with the process. head to the coding forum and you'll find the step by step. My search fu is weak today. |

I believe that comfort access on a e92 is that when you press & hold the unlock button the Windows roll down, keyless entry is something different.

On the E90 comfort access is touch the handles to lock/unlock the doors, start the car without the key in dash, and you are able to open the trunk without having to unlock the car.
