I can't run anything higher than MS109 due to my secondary cats.
Well you could, but it might not end up well. FWIW I know a lot of tuners (well known ones too) that say it is ok to run a mix of leaded/unleaded every once in a while just for drag racing where it is just a short period of time even when catted.

It really doesn't matter either way. MS109+meth has more than enough knock suppression for anything you could possibly throw at it. I just used 110 leaded because it's available at my auto parts store (MS109 isn't) and I have no cats. The o2 sensor issue isn't much of an issue unless you run it constantly. Running 5 gallons 5 or 6 times a year wont do anything to them. The only down side is that running 110 unleaded on a mild tune may actually make the car slower. Best left for higher boost/power applications only.

When u say stage 4 boost target is set at 17.4, is this the max peak boost one would see on a boost gauge before a shift ?

Thanks and congrats on the 11.5 runs!

Thanks. Typically, you will see less than the boost target when watching a boost gauge due to the pressure loss across the throttle body.

The same applies in 6at applications as well. The only difference is that they see a very short-term (.1-.2s) 1-2psi boost spike between gears while the revs fall.

How come no-one has yet made a better throttle body? Too expensive?

The throttle body is actually fine. The pressure loss is completely normal. There is always going to be a loss between the intercooler pipe and intake manifold. How much depends on airflow which is a function of boost and RPM.

sleepdoc what mod's does your GTR have? It run's pretty fast, I know the record is only 137mph right so you are doing pretty good with 132mph trap.

I actually trapped 134 last week

I have full exhaust, and a custom dyno tune with the Cobb Accessport. That's it, no other mods.

Trap speed world record for the GTR is actually 141.18 as of now. It is a car built by SSP that I drove for them to break the record last week. It has upgraded turbo's.

FiskeGTS drove SSP's other GTR with upgraded stock turbo's for the world record ET last week as well. 10.23@136.xx

DA was about 1200. Info and Vids on www.dragtimes.com

I'll be releasing this new family of 6MT maps later this week. I think you guys will love them. Next week, I'll be going back to test with a similarly modified 6AT. And when release new 6AT maps short after that. It's going to be an interesting/exciting month

Cheers,
shiv
