I officially have this issue and now my car is actually dead in my driveway. I am out of warranty, any suggestions on what I should do? These symptoms started 2 years ago. Obviously was not able to replicate them and now I am stuck with this.

Should I attempt to do this myself?

If I knew this was the issue before going to the dealer I think I would have gone anyways (or ideally found a shop that could do it). It's pricey, but being such a major electrical piece of the puzzle I'd want to make sure it's done 100% correctly. Plus they had to replace the JBE module and other stuff along the way.

car got a new HPFP (didn't need it but let them do it anyways) and a new injector as well while it was in. I also installed a new set of DCI's as well... brand spanking new

Someone should really sticky these threads about this. It is a known problem and it is just going to get worse as these cars get a little more age on them.
