I saw the lemon in person and was floored - this is THE color to get with a dark car WITH COLOR (I've seen it on a montego blue prior to ordering, and now, of course mine ) The other "money" combo would be crimson/lemon. if you are in the NJ area, I'll show you personally. [such a SLEEPER] Lemon on one of the 50 shades of grey that BMW offers would be "eh whatever" |

Any other Deep Green aficionados watching this thread have non-stock wheels? I'm looking for options! I usually love black rims, but I think it might not work with the almost-black Deep Green...

My partner had gold ROH Modena's on his boston green, and it looked stunning, and turned heads... admitedly though, you have to have balls to do it!

I'm thinking since this is a "classic color" some beautiful big brushed (or satin or chrome) aluminum mesh wheels would be money. LM's?? I don't have $5k burning a hole in my pocket, but if I did, I'd prolly go for the BBS. |

And I agree, it does look a bit more green in real life. The problem is, I think, that it's not green to have black rims contrast nicely, and not black enough to have them match nicely. Wish I could rent someone else's rims for a while to try them out...

I've seen a Deep Green e90; didnt care for it myself. And it was dirty but I'm sure it would look better clean.

I've seen all the combinations except Lemon in person and IMHO Beige is the last color to get with Deep Green. Saddle (E92) or Terra (e90) are best, but Grey and Black also work very well. Here's a crappy cell phone pic of a Deep Green/Saddle/Dark Burl coupe that was being delivered - one of the classiest BMWs I've seen.

I was just thinking that myself. It's a pretty sweet color, better than I expected it to be..

Hey fellow deep green owners!
I just bought an 06 330i in deep green so I am excited to see what everyone else in doing to there cars. I agree with everyone else that this is a unique color for the 330 and not the most popular choice. In fact this color was not my original choice but it sort of grew on me with time. Plus the car was still sitting on the lot and needed a home. I plan on making some modifications (lowering, 19's, blackout trim, grill, etc). I'll try to post pictures of the progress as I go so you guys can check it out. Happy to be a member of the deep green family! |
