Back on topic- Astra, how long did it take for your dad to take delivery of his lexus, or did he buy one off the showroom floor?

uhmm, he was going back and forth for ages deciding on colour, but at the end, i think it was relitively short time... from start to finish i think it was around 4 weeks? it was at the dealer for 1 day

^The lexus usually comes fully loaded so the options list must be short, so all they had to do was find one lying around in the right colour (they couldn't build and send one in 4 weeks). Only 1 day at the dealer- impressive!

When I purchased my Toyota Kluger, The car came out from Kyushu factory in Japan on 14 January 2004. I take the car home in Brisbane on 18 February 2004. 35 days only. Impressive!

Japs have very efficient production lines. Quality of the car is another issue though being efficient manufacturers could mean quality cutting in some cases. I know Honda is very good with both factory efficiency and quality.

My e92 arrived in Brisbane on 1st march amd I picked it up from the dealer on 15th. March. Took about 10 days to get through customs bond and 3 days for pre-delivery which include window tint. Car had 13 klm on it, 3 k in transit and 10k pre delivery test drive.
