I just went to the logging screen and saw no values. Was in a hurry, so got out the BT and did it that way. Found to DSC ECU codes.

Will give it another try soon.

Thanks!

Did you trigger it to display codes; door closed, ignition off and pedal triggered?

I thought it was ignition on (engine off). I did what what on this video. I wish they had shown what was going on in the procede reader software in the vid.

Yes, two presses of the button but with the engine not running. Sorry, I should have worded it better.

But you then have to depress the acceoerator to enable the function.

Yeah. Did that. Nothing showed on the data logging - view datalog screen. The screen was empty, even though I was connected. Is that where I should have been looking? Thanks!

Yes, and I'm running the latest procede software. I took the car out last night to see if I could get it to throw any more DSC codes, but no luck.

Do you have to start logging to get the DME code values to populate, or should they just show up from depressing the accelerator?

did you do this exactly?

1. get in car
2. plug in laptop
3. turn ignition on (do not start the car, just press the start button with the key in)
4. go online with the procede software
5. press throttle to the floor... hear a "ding" and half engine light appears.
6. codes will display one at a time

That's what I did. I will give it another try as soon as I update firmware and throw more codes. Thanks!

There's no logging needed (I suppose you could log the codes technically if you wanted, since it's a channel). Just make sure as jp said that you've plugged in your laptop, Procede is connected, and THEN you press the gas pedal all the way, half engine light shows up, and then the channel CAN DME Codes on the main Procede screen will flash the various codes every few seconds (as long as you had added it as a channel already, of course).

I initially used to think all I had to do was plug in the laptop and connect to Procede and I'd see the codes in that channel. But it doesn't happen until you press the gas pedal all the way to the floor. Then the codes start showing up, as that signals the Procede to read the codes and show them in that channel.

Good luck.

That works! When I was in a hurry the other day, I watched this video which I think is the latest one, and it says explicitly, "your codes are read, and they are displayed on the procede datalog screen". So I went to data logging on the menu and chose "view data log" and saw nothing:

Yeah! Thanks! There was a lot of confusion on the other thread as well. It just seems you have to be upto speed on little pieces of info you find in multiple threads, to really be sure you are doing the right thing. The audio on the video obviously says to go to the data logging screen, but a quick shot of video actually showing it display the codes would have cleared up that confusion.

I've got some Dyno time scheduled this Tuesday. Was hoping to do meth and non-meth to see the difference, but the kit probably wont be here in time.

One other question if anyone knows. Is the procede reading all the modules like the BT tool, or just the engine module? It returns the codes so darn fast.

Just the engine module.
BT can read all the modules.

The very first screen you see when you start up the application. I see CN555 posted a screen shot and you figured it out after. Good to see.

The codes do flash by pretty quickly, but they stay for a while (unless you accidentally press the gas pedal again and clear them!), so don't panic, just write them all down and then look them up in the spreadsheet Shiv posted with descriptions of what they mean.
