neli i would of told them to call the police 70% of the time the police cant prove you were speeding even whn they see u speeding, so with out any technial proof he would of just wasted police time,

i just let those who wnt to saythink say it, we all know if they had the money most of them would go out n buy a decent car.

Although i didnt get as much hate for havin a bmw while i was at uni, got more postives, but whn i started uni whn i was 18 i started of with a brand new merc ML and the amount of people that were jealous or they jst stared thinking what i do for a living.

got to say tho jst turn 22 been driving nice cars for nearly 4 years prob cover over 70k miles and only been stopped 3 times

yeah, had loads of different kinds of attention/ looks while driving....

but I don't give a damn! I'm a "real typical bmw cock driver"!!! yes and I'm proud of it!!! I turned this way because of all the shitty slow drivers not indicating, driving slowly in the right hand lane, the stupid bus drivers, cab drivers, lorry drivers, stupid cyclists, and every stupid retard causing traffic!

I just love it when I undertake them and they flash me! and I show them my long middle finger, while my twin exhaust leave a cloud of smoke on them and my 300bhp engine roars like a lion and leaves the lil monkeys behind!

so many retarted drivers out there...pisses me off....

but what I enjoy....the looks I get from the sexy milfs driving in their SLKs and TTs ....or even the sexy hairdressers page 3 look alike girls in their Minis......

had a lil blast with a sexy milf last time, she was in a TT and tried to undertake me!!!....(such a turn on when girls drives fast!!!) I floored it, and didn't see her after afew seconds in my rear view mirror....then I slowed down....to wait for her...after a few minutes saw her approaching in my rear view....let her pass me...and the look she gave me....I nearly "jizzed in my pants".... ;-)

I have certainly noticed that driving an estate really makes a difference.

Normally I get no hassle at all. Indeed this is the first car I have owned for a long time where I am not afraid to leave it in a dark car park.

But if I find myself in an M Saloon (or even a non M saloon for that matter) whilst mine is in for service, I really notice a huge difference in attitude from other drivers.

I seem to have had a few lesser engined Beemers giving me stick.

Yesterday a light met blue E91 M Sport was right up my backside every time there was a car in front of me. I don't know what model it was but I spotted a single exhaust on a roundabout so presume it was a slowish version?

Every time I had some space I annihilated it for driving so badly. Must have been a weedy one because it couldn't hang onto ahem 90ish... on the A30 (dual carriageway) up a fairly long hill. It was so much slower than my 335d that it was almost funny.

Always been quite anti "all show no go" cars so an M Sported Beemer with not much of a motor is about as undesirable to me as you can get. Why not spend that M Sport money on a pokier engine?!

I had something very similar last week, a 1-er up my backside on the M1, I was in a queue of about 6 cars in the right lane behind someone doing about 75.

The eejit kept cutting into the middle, trying to undertake then cutting back in behind me.

He then proceeded to try and teach me to keep left when we're not overtaking anything. He went through a phase of cutting into the middle then back out to overtake something 2-3 seconds later.

As soon as the lanes cleared when the slower cars moved over we were all able to move over and do our respective speeds so he was on his way to try and p155 someone else off.

Absolutely no need for that behaviour, gives us all a bad name.

I had a similar thing, on the first day I got the 325i, on the M1 motorway back down from leeds, a white LCI M Sport 3 series was right up behind me, didn't flash for me to get out the way or anything, just stuck behind me, I didn't feel like moving over and just decided to take him on, and past 95 or so I'd almost lost him, then I relaxed a bit cause my boy was in the car and the white 3 series came past, only for me to see it was a 318d, he must of saw mine was a 325i and tried to take me on, and failed, so yeah 335diesel, I really don't feel for M Sport 318d's and the like, but if its what they want, its what they want, they're still nice cars none the less, just not for me I'm afraid.

Generally the attitude I've got for my 325i is overall very good, everyone seems to think its beautiful, especially cause its arctic metallic, and everyone seems to comment on the colour because its not the normal black, blue, silver or grey. Though I've noticed a few hot hatches driven by boy racers (Civic typeR's and the like) trying to take me at the lights (keyword trying :P) I don't race them unless they really try to rev and start something off, they just seem to underestimate the 325i, makes me just wonder what a 330/335i is like.

Shaf - I considered an Arctic E91 from up North but it was non BMW (the dealer) and too far to drive to. Is it a sort of greyish/blueish silver? Hard to tell in pics.

This M Sport E91 just stayed right behind me except when I had space to floor it. Eventually I had a lot of space, overtook three cars (in one go) on a single lane A road (just to shake it off) and got plenty of space between it and me.

Can't really understand it though - why try and aggravate a car that is much faster?! If I see a faster car (rare now!), I leave it well alone. Unless there are twisties - then I might have a play - but a safe one.

I think sometimes people translate leaving a braking gap in front of you to mean you are slow - I was maintaining a 3 second gap (except when he wanted to undertake ), and even if I wanted to sit on the @rse of the car in front of me, it was an Alpina B3 so no contest really

Arctic is a really odd colour, in some lights its grey, some lights its a nice blue, and others its a silver, its a stunning colour but trust me, an absolute bitch to keep clean.

Nice!

I bet it's nowhere near as bad as Sapphire Black to keep clean though!

Got mine looking amazing on Sunday - then it rained when I went for a little drive. It was fully prepared and Supagarded by Sytner and has a lovely deep mirror sheen when clean. And my wheels are so hard to clean (and keep clean) that it's almost funny!

Thanks mate, yeah the colours mint, oh yeah, I don't think the 325i was made for London, the bottom of the front splitters scuffed as shit, you can't see it unless you look from underneath, but the speedbumps are effing annoying, and the cars not even lowered. Also, my AC Schnitzer spoilers been painted now, just have to pick it up and because its such a hard colour to get right, its taken the guy 2 1/2 weeks!

(BTW, Sorry for offtopic, but 335diesel, talk in my build topic if you wanna talk further, just to keep this topic on track)

Reminds me of a story a mate of mine told me about his X5 4.8IS.

Comes onto the motorway and these boy racers come speeding up the inside lane of the onramp giving him the bird and laughing at the X5 in some "souped up french mobile" They then got into the fast lane, he went into the middle and just stabbed the throttle and started to reel them in, they where still giving it large as he passed them a big puff of smoke blarts out of their car and in his rear view he sees them trying to get to the hard shoulder.

A few years ago I had a spirited chase with an older Bentley (don't know the model but it was a rolls shaped one rather than the newer ones). I absolutely humilated the stuck up c'ock but fair play at the next lights he was asking about the motor and was amazed how quick it was (e46 m3).

I had a bit of a "race" with an X5 4.8is when I had the Golf R32 - both have very similar 0-60 and 0-100 times (and I know every car stat going more or less). Two lanes at the lights and we both floored it. The X5 made an AMAZING noise (and the R32 was pretty good too) and we were completely neck and neck. I then eased a car length ahead then hit the speed limit so backed off - he carried on probably to well over 100.

Just didn't seem right seeing a 2.5 tonne (ish) box going so quickly!

I still think that engine is one of the best sounding of any car - proper woofly V8.

I'm finding Focus ST's a pain in the butt - loads around and many seem to think they are much faster than they actually are. I tested one once and it was okay but very much FWD, nose heavy and dire on fuel for relatively modest bhp.

dxb - they aren't even in the same league (STs) but the drivers seem to think they are all piloting the latest supercar. A bit like a modern day Subaru Impreza Turbo (except they handle better with 4WD) - quick but the drivers think they are untouchable.

Neil - I should think it might have been a Turbo R - they are very quick for their size but not M3 quick.

I had 2 of them. Manual one in TiAg got in 2002 and SMG in EB that I got in 2003. long story of why I got rid of the first one in a few words

"Crash, Islamic Cleric, No Insurance, Going to Jail, £4000 quid in a Sainsbury's carrier bag, Car Fixed, Car Sold"

well also the manual was killing my arm.

SMG one I loved had it for just over 3 years, still regret selling it to this day although I got a decent price for it overall.

Pics attached.

totally agree on the 4.8IS engine, its an absolute stonker interms of noise. I had an EB one for a couple of days whilst the M3 was in for a service. Come round Aldgate one way system and kicked down "WAAIIILL" and people half a mile down the road bolted. Absolutely one of BMW's best engines in my view. Mind when it hit 7MPG i was glad to hand it back

Neil - how could you let an old mk3 Golf, a Toyota Camry and an ancient Merc get so near your M3s?! The M3s might have caught something!
