Dont need to go that complex with just a basic kit like aem. With the led visible, you know if the meth pump is working properly or not. If not, then just turn off the system. That is why you must have that switch for a easy and quick access.

This might help. Pic is showing the inside of the DDE container and how it routes into the passenger side footwell area. I used some water injection tubing to make the path and pushed wires through the tubing. Worked pretty well. Then you can easily connect into the fusebox for the key-on power.

If you're really interested, try the AEM flow guage. I've been quite happy with that unit, and it lets you know if and how much fluid is actually flowing. It's also helpful for identifying if you have a leak or if a hose became disconnected ...

Not sure who this was directed at... But this might help. I'm tying into the MAP sensor here as part of my system.
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showpo...3&postcount=19 The pic is old and not up to date, but it gives you an idea of where you can grab the electrical signal that corresponds to boost. Or you could drill/tap the charge pipe and tie a line with actual pressure back into the controller. Kinda depends on the specific controller and system/philosophy you'd be using. For example, I'm using the MAP signal as one of the variables for controlling multiple things.

Tapped into the charge pipe, closer to the top, after the temp sensor. This is a pressure sensor via rubber tube back to the controller.

Ok, installation is complete could not find an easy place for acc power, so for now it's always on, but I'm pretty sure the only power it's drawing is for the small led light on controller.
So I went through 1.5 gal of a 50/50 mix within the first 3 hours of some pretty extreme driving actually seamed to drive a little rougher at first, cleaning out the intake I'm assuming? Now it seams the run better, but after car sits off for more than 20 min it turns over for 3 or 4 seconds before it starts, instead of the instant start I'm used to, hoping this goes away once she cleans up a little more... |

Finished my install of the snow TDI kit over the weekend. Rather than embed the pictures i'll just link to the album.
http://s406.photobucket.com/user/ste...ry/E90/MethInj I too am getting some quench like FormerRotor stated, seems to be in the 14-18psi range. I suspect it's either gunk getting washed into the cylinders, or the JBD. It's only on occasion though, I can repeat the same driving behavior after slowing back down and it doesn't happen. My tank had approx 1gal of water & 1 gal of splash -20F washer fluid, so the mixture is mostly water at the moment. Currently i'm ramping the 60cc/min nozzle from 12psi-24psi, and the 225cc nozzle kicks in at 22psi. Also managed to get a sunburn on the back of my legs since I spent most of yesterday afternoon hunched over in the trunk

I did a lot of the planning & test fitting Saturday which took a couple hours. Spent nearly 12 hours yesterday doing the actual install. An hour of that was wasted trying to get the lower boost clamp loose and figuring out how the IAT sensor disconnects. I caved in the end and just left the IAT on while I drilled away. No idea how Klaus designed that connector. I'm using #1 and #4 at the moment. I will likely upgrade to #3 and #5 or 6 once it has been run for a while and I know the goop is cleaned out. I didn't take any pics of the interior but I have the controller mounted in the oddiments tray near the shifter. That was the last part of the install, and my wife's "how much longer?" requests were down to about 10 minutes apart. Also managed to drain my battery during the process. Luckily 1h on the charger and it fired right up.

Stevers, not sure if you pulled pieces connected to intake manifold but mine was bad! My install took about the same amount of time, although almost 2 hours of it were spent scraping the tar out of everything I could get to, I got about a full cup full of junk! I'm thinking it will take quite a while to fully clean everything, that "tar" was some pretty hard stuff

You have to drive calm for a couple minutes before shutting it down if you want to avoid that
