Would you spend £40,000 on this?

This Aston is for sale at £40k with 500 miles on the clock. I know that for some people money is no object but this is surely a step to far?

Thats a wanted ad.

Fair play to Aston though, its a hell of a way of getting around EU emissions vehicle quotas..

I would really like one of those just for the fun factor and the looks it would get.

Having said that, I saw the new Mercedes AMG Black that hit the press today in bright yellow and thought that looked good as well.

Would I pay that sort of money for it? Hell no!

The 1 series seemed to sell well to people who just want the badge to impress the neighbours so maybe that little Aston will do well.

I do like that C63 AMG Black Edition. Looks truly beastly. Just makes me cringe thinking how much servicing it would need!

The 1 series sells well because it is a great car.

I have had 2 E90s and 2 1 series, and I unless you are someone who cares what the neighbours think the 123d beats the 320d hands down.

We looked at running on of the launch models on a two year lease for a bit of a giggle, a runabout for town.

I stopped giggling when I realised it'd be as much as the C63....

I don't think it matters if nobody buys them, theyre sooo cheap to modify from the IQ that it means a good percentage of Aston's available products meet certain emissions targets, that way they get to produce a load of nice V12s...
Don't you love EU regs!

Daft isn't it, maybe the % should be based on units sold? If it really meant anything.

No chance.

And I bet if you buy an IQ and brought some aftermaket kit you could make it look the same for way over half the price
