How do you remove window trim?

1) without bending it
2) without breaking it
3) I am trying to switch black trim to chrome trim.
4) do I need to buy clips?
5) what tools do I need?
6) has there been a post here?

thanks

I dont think that it can be removed without bending the tabs that hold it on. check out realoem.com for pics of the trim pieces to get an idea for removal and clips etc.

1) carefully
2) see 1)
3) thats good to know..
4) the clips are included in the new trims
5) plastic sepperation tool
6) ... eerm.. :?

seriously

Start with the door trims first

Wind down the windows. The rears are the easiest to remove
The side mirrors need to be loosened / removed

This will allow you to remove the front window trim

The roofrail, start from the rear, and pop out using pressure from the underside with your plastic spatula.

when you have reached the a-piller , note that the strip is slid in.
