I've done everything but Bluetooth Audio. Has DIYer enabled music via Bluetooth?

What is the corner mod delete. I have an E90 2010 LCI. Does this apply? Also, we should be making a list of options that we can re-code. Has anyon worked on a 2010 for coding yet? Can you enable bluetooh audio via coding? This is really exciting we can do all these features via software.
I am looking to do, 1. DVD in motion 2. Windows/mirror with key fob 3. Automatic night/day mode with nav. (I know it can be enabled but not sure if it works) 4. M3 speed in center console 5. Remove seatbelt gong 6. Sunroof roll up with rain senor. What are some other features that we can enable. I know this has probaly been asked and answered but is this cable any good? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...TRK:MEBOFFX:IT |

I sent an excel file (under construction) to xxxjecxxx to review. It's a start and we can put in years as the apply. I am sure some codes do not apply to every vehicle. And, yes that is the cable people are ordering, last I heard an offer of $85 was accepted.

Use E89 I've looked at it, but so far, all I've coded are just aktiv or nicht aktiv yes (for me at least). |

INPA - v.5.0 NCS Data - 1/14/10 EDIABAS - v.6.4.7 INPA is currently at v.5.04 EDIABAS is currently at v7.2.0 NCS Data updates frequently These downloads contain versions quite higher than the v3.1. I have heard mentioned - which doesn't mean that 3.1 won't work for your particular car - depends of the year of the car. For obvious reasons, it is best to use the latest version of the software available (especially the daten files). However, these versions will prolly work for most things (especially the 'aktiv' & 'nicht-aktiv' items) but may not for items that require actual V.O. upgrade And yes, use E89 for the E90 chassis designations... Another item of interest to note is that any 'coding' of seperate items might, or might not, be overwritten/set back to default values during a dealer software upgrade depending on which modules are updated during the process - meaning you will have to go back in and re-code those items. So it would be a good idea to write down how you got to the items you coded for your particular car for reference in the future & don't get rid of your cable after you have coded everything the first time thinking you will never need it again! Any changes to the V.O. will be permanent and unchanged by dealer software upgrades

Anybody have v38 daten files? For some reason I can't read a few of the modules on my 2010 e90. I'm guessing it has to do with some of the files not being correct.

NCS Expertentool (usually referred to as NCS Expert)... NCS Expert is part of the BMW Ediabas software suite which also contains programs like INPA - popular and advanced diagnostic software for BMW vehicles. NCS Expert is the coding part of the Ediabas software suite. NCS Expert was designed for internal use at BMW - in other words, for people who know exactly what they are doing. Unlike SSS/Progman, NCS Expert provides no help or guidance. If you don't know what you are doing, you may very rapidly end up with dead modules. Therefore the program is often labeled as dangerous to use. And your other question: Vehicle Order = all items that came with the car from factory (i.e. Nav, Alarm, CD Changer, SAT Radio, Bluetooth, Etc.) Whatever options came with your car from factory will be programmed in. If you add items such as the Alarm - it will need to be programmed in (added to the VO) in order for it to function fully.

Module Parameters: Find out what coding functionality a module offers. NCS Dummy shows all parameter names and their possible values. Trace File Differences: Compare two NCS Expert FSW/PSW trace files to see the differences (requires NCS Expert to read the trace files from the car) Trace Parameters: Same as the module parameters, but this time for the specific module in your car (requires NCS Expert to read the trace file from the car). You get a nice overview of the currently set values and the other possible values. This makes updating the trace file to recode the module with NCS Expert a breeze.

Might be a good idea for anyone wanting to code to go here and see how to just READ what your module values are first and get familiar with their setup BEFORE actually changing things:
http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum....php?t=1562077 Coding/reprogramming is not something you just want to jump into without any background - you may just end up with a mess. I realize that people make it sound EZ as 1-2-3 but that lends a false sense of security. So if you are not comfortable, or at least understand what you are doing - better to let someone do it that is. Believe me, I spent MANY a long hour reading up, researching examples and others prior programming before I even attempted to do my own tuning/programming of my GM ECU's on my LS based cars. I spent many tuning sessions on the dyno with a professional tuner - soaking in everything he did & why before I attempted myself. Now mind you, engine tuning parameters are a leetle bit more scary than simple coding ON or OFF as most of you want to do as catastrophic engine failure could result if you make a mistake. But as a disclaimer - JUST BE VERY CAREFUL

Anyone in florida who would like to me to try and code options on their car please let me know. depending the distance we can meet half way. I am currently about 2k short for next semester so I will work with pricing. depending on the distance, we can meet half way. Have not had the opportunity to test my cable on another car so this will also help other members.

Junior, can you update your 1st post regarding where to buy the cable? Looks like Phil's eBay store (automotive-tool and one-stop-electronics.com) is the best place.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...TRK:MEBOFFX:IT He has contributed valuable information to us and is responsive in email/form posting/eBay messaging. We should support his business! I hope you're still getting donations. Thanks a lot for starting this thread!
