Finally got round to getting some pictures - E90 Black M Sport

After washing this morning, finally managed to get some pics of the car...

Apologies they are only with a camera phone but digi camera batteries are dead and it doesn't look this clean for long being black!

Nice car. What make of tyres on it and do you recommend them? There seems to be a lot of negatives about Bridgstone RFTs; best regarded seems to be Continental.

Very smart - the black kidney grill at the front makes it look quite menacing!

It's on Bridgstones which to be honest I've found to be a better ride than the 17" wheels I had on my old E46... I've not noticed any issues (it's done about 4.5K already).

Tyre Choice

Thanks.

I've only just ordered my E90 - do you know if the dealer will allow you to specify a specific make of tyre?

Very nice... very black.

Any plans to black out the diffuser for the total gloss black look?

Is that a Cotswold supplied car? Pics aren't quite big enough to tell, or guess which bit of the county

Also, Bridgestone RFTs ranked 1st in the Auto Express run-flat tyre test:

Looks stunning and has got me very excited about my black e90 arriving in next fewweeks!

Is that a spoiler on back or just standard line of the boot?

I want to go black grill but SWMBO isn't keen. Where did you get it (the grill) ?

Got the black grill from Hong Kong (via Ebay obviously!), it's black plastic as opposed to painted so it won't chip... I wasn't sure about it when I first put it on but it's grown on me and people tend to move out of fast lane when you get behind them!

It's the OEM spoiler on the back (that along with the black lines were both put on by the dealer before collecting - Cotswold BMW, who are very good).

Off the top of my head it was about £130 for spoiler. They wanted £80 to fit but managed to get all done for free (as I'd paid full price for the items).

Fitting the blacklines is very straightforward though and you could do yourself in about 30mins.

We asked the dealer this question when we ordered our car and were told no.

Our first 330d had Michelin Pilot Sports (non run flat) on it when we got it and we put Pilot Sport 2s on when they needed changing. Our last 330d had Bridgestones and we weren't too happy with them, the grip wasn't there and they used to tramline a lot.

Our current 335d is on Pilot Sport 2s (run flats) and another of my cars is on 18" PS2s as well.

Regards

Chris

... but he's never right

The all black with blacklines does look good. If I pass it on the motorway I'll give you a wave boinging.

I do like the black grille

Wish I could have them on mine - should have asked body shop when car got hit. As I had to wait a week for the BMW parts to arrive.
