RB Racing Brakes

So i have a problem with my 2 piece rotors and RB Racing Brake are kind enough to send me a new set of rings ( brake rotors 2 pieces) they dont have the rings right now in stock and they have some 32mm thick rotors. Original have 30mm.
They asked me to check the clearance in between the pistons and the rotor to see if it would clear. Is anyone knows if it would fit?

If your pads are brand new, it will be tight (and probably not clear). If your pads are old-er, then yes they'll likely fit. For now.

It'll depend on quite a few factors, actually. I had a set of track pads that the manufacturers swore would fit fine, only to find that it's like 1/10th of a mm to thick, and no matter how hard I hammer away at it, it wouldn't fit over the OEM rotors.

There's really no way to tell, to be honest. You'll need to fit it to know it.

Nice of them to send you new replacement rings though, those ain't cheap.

Can anyone measure the inside length in between the 2 pistons fully retracted of a e90 335?
For those of you having a calliper laying around...

I agree with the HACK, if you are reusing the old pads it would probably fit.

2mm is most likely too much. I remember there is barely a mm of clearance with new pads and new stock style rotors. And that's with fully retracted pistons.

you can always sand down the pads a bit. I know it sound crazy but is nothing new. I have done it few times actually.
