That was the stock config for 2010 and early 2011. Thats what i started with which is why you see the tweeter sails in the install.

Ah so since my car was probably manufactured in late 2010 it doesnt have the tweeters or the center speaker? Can BMW upgrade your audio system to the Logic7 after you have bought the car? I also dont have a center speaker.

They can do anything you want, if you're willing to pay.

It's probably a $3/4,000 retrofit. Maybe more.

lol in that case ill do something my self. How much did it cost you to get those tweeter sails? Would it be fairly easy to add tweeter sails or would it just be better to get some replacement midrange speakers that have tweeters in them.

The tweeter sails are about $34 each. no big deal. Easy to add and also good tweeter placement so they will be better and worth it compared to a coaxial.

There is no point in adding OEM logic 7, you will get much better results taking a path like mine and others on this board.

What are your goals and budget (range and also a "target")?

At a minimum you should:
1) Get a better front stage with tweeters
2) Bandpass (and ideally replace) the under seats
3) remove HU eq curve (by recoding as above, or processor (also above), or JL Cleansweep).

The OEM alpine kit (plus proper coding) does all of this at a reasonable cost. There are more cost budget upgrades though and also it gets much much better from there.

I saw the parts list...
for :
"2x 61130006664 (Pin Contacts including 18"wire) or Pins only 61131393723 (for attaching to your own wire)
1x 61138373583 (Universal Pin Terminal Uncoded 2 Pol)"

Do both the front and rear speakers use the same connectors?

Which ones does the under seat subwoofer use?

Answer. It depends.

The vehicle harness uses a male plastic plug inside of which are two female socket connectors. The speakers use the femle plug (pictured above) with two pin connectors. Oem tweeters use the male plug with female sockets as they plug into the oem midrange.

Hope thats clear as mud!

The underseats. FOR THE BASE STEREO ONLY? use:
Speaker side:
05 Socket housing 4 POL. 2 61136984750 $5.03
only in conjunction with
-- Socket contact ELO-Power 2,8x0,63 0,5-1,0 MMÂē 2 61138364836 $0.35
-- Socket contact ELO-Power 2,8x0,63 1,0- 2,5 MMÂē 2 61138364838 $0.62

Vehicle side
01 Universal pin terminal uncoded 4 POL. ? 61136901731 $2.12
only in conjunction with
-- Pin-contact ELO-Power 2,8 x 0,63 0,5-1,0MMÂē 2 61138364833 $0.77
-- Pin-contact ELO-Power 2,8 x 0,63 1,0-2,5MMÂē 2 61138364835 $0.72

I have the hifi option in the 335 E90 LCI.. (11/08).. -

I am making a collection of information for parts/ connectors / pinouts etc.. (basically planning stage. before I start ripping out panels..)
In the end, I hope to have all speakers replaced+aftermarket amp.

Are the connectors for hifi subs different?.. By the way Taibanl, I appreciate your guides and post. They are extremely helpful. (already found answers for about 80% of my questions)

You'll have to phrase that as a question...

generally a processor such as the MS-8 is used to REPLACE the OEM Hifi or TopHifi amp.

I noticed you have the base enclosures that were glued to the OEM speakers. I also notice that there is a hole right in the center bottom of these enclosures. Did you do anything to plug it to make sure it's sealed?

Yes the hole fits a rubber grommet that is already installed there. Just reinstall before the new speakers.

Are you getting a lot of rattling/vibrations from the trunk lid?

I am slightly considering doing a side box for a 10" W6 or something like that for the trunk, but dont wanna deal with dynomatting (sp) the whole thing so it doesn't end up sounding like a Donk.
