i should be down for 27th, do u think i can be scheduled in to get my Helix FMIC installed? i think it took about an hour on Scott's car last time so hopefully mine would go as smoothly and easily as his. btw, how long does it take to do the CDV mod? since the car will be up, i was hoping i can get that done as well if it's not too diffcult or take too long.

i'll confirm my schedule as we get closer to that time but for now, im pretty sure i can be down.

Adam - we gonna do some bbq or want me to bring some food? if we all bring something we can have a feast for lunch .. sorry, always thinkin about eating..haha

I don't want to jinx us, but the Helix should go right in. Fit like a glove in Scott's car.

CDV delete will take about 30 seconds with the car up in the air. Piece of cake. Speaking of.........food! Yes, bring food!! There's always too much beer and no food. Must have food! I have a gas grill if needed.

"quick fingers" can do these installs blind-folded! My Procede is PNP, so Matt will probably do it blind-folded and one-handed

I should be in also. I think someone will need to bring a Bobcat; gonna have to widen the driveway to get all these cars in and out.

No answer for me?

I would like to try to make the next meet. New for the most part to this one. Second BMW..current one was leased in or on 01312009. I have done a few aesthetic mods but, I am curious about the Procede? I plan to return mine at the end of the lease and get a more loaded version or perhaps even M series..so curious what this would do for me now? Cost? Effect on warranty?

hey man,
you should be fine w a procede or JB3.....they are great tunes these days and for the most part will not trip any codes, but if they do the BT scan tool can clear all hidden codes so there is no trace in the ECU.

come by on the 27th and we can chat or perhaps someone can give you a ride in a tuned 335 so you can feel the difference yourself.

Matt

Adam - if i remember correctly we had to take off the rear wheels last time you got Don's car up on the lift?

If thats the case i would like to take off all 4 if possible so i can use that opp to actually clean the inside of my wheels and give it a nice detail work while the car is up.

or you can look at JB+ as an alternative. it's much easier to install/uninstall without having to get into the ECU and there are no codes throw supposely.

do a lil search, you will find plenty of info on that. of course, to get the true full potential of the N54, you will need proceed or JB3.

btw, you need to install the proceed 1st and let it rip... SSTT is weak sauce.. sick exhaust though.
I ordered 'almost' everything from HP Autowerks...Harold from there helped me out...here's the list:

1 BMW Front Tension Rod Kit

1 BMW Front Lower Wishbone Kit

1 BMW OEM M3 Antil Roll Bar Kit for your
E82/E9X 1 & 3 series (i.e. front and rear sway bars)

1 BMW Strut Tower Brace kit

1 BMW Rear Guide Rod Kit

1 BMW E82/90/92/93 Front Control Arm Kit

1 BMW Rear Upper Link Kit

1 BMW Rear Subframe bushings

I wanted tighter handling so I can try to keep up with Don in the twisties...lol

I would like to get the Quaife LSD, but um, yeah, I'm pretty much broke now!

No longer do we need to take off the wheels to put the car up. Actually we never really did. Reason: Brain fart. You'll see.

However you are welcome to pull off the wheels and clean them. Just bring some environmentally safe cleaner so that the fish downsteam from my property might live.

how much did that run? wouldnt it have been cheaper to get the parts from Tischer?

the labor for installing all that must have left a huge hole in your wallet (and ass). how many labor hours? i know its a few hours alone just to get the rear subframe bushings out and you have to lower the entire subframe to get the rear sway in

The parts themselves are comparable in cost to my E-Race exhaust. I just ended up going with HP Autowerks based on more than a few recs. I like Tischer, too, though....have ordered several things from them with great service.

I just got the parts, so haven't had them installed yet...from what others have told me, it's probably at least 8 hours labor time.
