New to the scene (Due to sandy)
Got myself into a 2010 335i coupe with some nice options.
Ended up losing my 2012 Evo in hurricane sandy. Was aiming towards an M3 but felt like I shouldn't put myself into a higher payment with more frequent gas stops as well. But damn was that car a beast to test drive. Anyway loving the 335, more refined and luxurious compares to the Evo. Hope to learn a lot of info here and be another member to add and share info on this site.

Don't really have nice pictures of the 335, and can't find any other pictures on the evo.
Put down 300awhp and 280 tq on a mustang dyno at akuma motorsport's in jersey. Nothing crazy, but definitely a car I miss everyday. First new car I bought myself & only had with 4 miles on it. Thanks for the welcome, wasn't really involved last time around with the evo, so looking to be more into the community this time with the bmw. Last edited by Mr.335; 11-22-2012 at 01:23 PM.. |

I was surprised as well as the username wasn't taken.
They both have there ups and downs. The Evo felt faster but then again I had some bolt ons with a moderate tune. In the corners though, I have yet to push this car but I felt a lot more confident In the Evo taking corners. The ability to break loose though in this car, especially in an inline 6 twin turbo is a great feeling. I also love the feeling I have a freakin trunk. The Evo had the battery and washer fluid tank In the trunk and that took half my space away (this came from factory) I get much better gas mileage compared to the Evo surprisingly. 4cyl turbo you would think I would be doing 23mpg city 32mpg+ highway..but I was half that. The weight of the Evo was never felt when driving, couldn't really tell that it was 3700lbs+ One thing I definitely will not miss, is the cheap Mitsubishi paint. Had a 2010 Evo prior to the 2012 and they both had rust forming due to the tiniest nicks since the paint was extremely thin. Since I lost my beater and my weekend car (99 pathfinder and the Evo) the 335 is now my all around car. Hoping winter won't be that bad and not regret going rwd as a dd. it's definitely a fun car, can't wait til summer. I'll resize the pictures later on tonight, Internet connection is choppy on my pc, and I'll throw one up of the bmw.

idk if your winters are any worse than chicago's, but I'd recommend a winter setup if not just winter tires.
You won't even care that you're in a RWD car. |

Sorry to hear about your Evo, just wait til you catch the mod bug lol post some pics of your 335i too. You'll be as faster than the M3 in a straight line but man those M's are something else.

My ultimate regret was test driving the m3 before the 335. What I kept listening, or should I say looking at in every BMW forum about getting the m3 over the 335 was every owner or decision maker kept writing/saying "what if" and now since instead of saying what if I'm saying I'm a cheap bastard lol.
None much really different other then the growl of the v8 and a more acceleration difference on the streets. My main upset though was the steering feel and the actual steering wheel & shift knob. I can write a novel why I hate our shift knob.
