572 bhp in garage by tomorrow

On the back of all the upcoming Porsche purchases thought I would let you know about the 572 bhp I should have in my garage by tomorrow night.

However ......... only problem is that the horsepower is split between 2 cars so isn't quite as good as it sounds.

My 335d stays, the addition is a change of E53 X5 3.0d to an E70 X5 35d M Sport. That gives me 286 bhp per car.

Not as high level as the Porsches and wish you guys well with your beautiful purchases but I'm pleased with my new X5. Been keeping an eye out for 6 months or so to get the right combination of colour, miles, ages, engine and the all important high spec. Picking up Sat morning.

BM - 286bhp, Landy - 122, boat - 60, mower about 2, strimmer about 0.5, chainsaw about 0.5, hedge trimmer about 0.5 so a grand total of... 471.5bhp!

Really like the current 35d X5s - good choice!

The X5 I'm getting is Titanium Silver with Black leather. Had been keeping my eye out for either Space Grey or Silver but kinda prefered the silver. Having had a LeMans blue X5 for 2 years I fancied going for a lighter easier to look after colour.

Car is great spec, problem was my LeMans Blue edition X5 was one of the late special editions of the last X5 shape and was heavily loaded as standard with nice toys. Trying to find the same spec again has taken a while but this thing has 12k worth of toys and its still selling in a BMW dealer for a bit less than Glasses valuation on it. You never get a bargain in car buying but this one ticks a lot of boxes.

AND the very best bit, I bought my current X5 exactly 2 years ago when the market for big stuff was terrible. Bought at 2 years old with 12k miles for £19,500 , being traded in to my BMW dealer now for £17,500, thats very cheap motoring for sure. Just wish the new ones were as easily purchased but they are holding up well , probably drop like a stone soon which I am aware of but having seen the right car I'm going for it now.
