Unhappy Please say a prayer

Please everyone say a prayer for my grandpa. Hes had two strokes in the past 6 years and we just got home from dinner to get a call from my grandma saying he wasnt breathing so they took him to the ER and it isnt looking to great. He is on an ventilator (or lifesupport machine thingy) and they are hoping its just a infection but at this point they dont know. So please say a prayer for him and my grandma, so that hopefully everything will be ok.

thanks guys for the kind words, its really tough. I know he will be happier and less painful there but I guess im selfish. What I feel the worst about is after my dad told me he left and came back like 10 min later and I wasnt in the best shape and I just didnt want him to see me like that because its his father and all and I dont want him getting even more upset. Thank you guys for helping me though. Im most likely going to be browsing here alot to try to get my mind off of it.

Sorry to hear, my prayers are with you and your family.

I know all too well what you're going through. My grandma had a massive stroke back in 1994. She lost complete speech and was paralyzed on her right side. Amazingly enough she lived until January of this year. It was a huge emotion burden on my mom and her brothers. I rarely went to visit her in the home because I just left more depressed than when I entered.

Sorry to hijack, I have just always taken comfort when others have had a similar experience and know first hand what I'm going through.

My prayers are with your family.

Thanks everyone. Couch, he had 1 stroke around 2000? and was left unable to walk or talk but about 3 years ago he got to the point where he was able to walk and talk (not easily) but was able to non the less. We went on a family vacation to a golf resort and he came in the cart with us while we played. It was nice for him to be with us. 2 months after that he had another stroke and hasnt been able to talk or really walk ever since. We visit him usually every weekend and though its sad to see him like that I enjoy sitting there and telling him whats going on in my life. I know hes probablly in pain and im being selfish but im almost 18 im too young to lose a grandfather. I really do pray he can recover from this and live to see me graduate next year from highschool. Thank you all for your support ill keep you update, I truely do appreciate you guys doing this and its really nice to have a community like this where you know you have people who will help you out when your at your worst times.

Im basically a complete wreck, I havent been able to do anything i was supposed to do tonite. I hope my teachers will understand and not be complete heartless assholes about it, but it really is impossible for me to think right now.
