08 335i jb4 USB cable routing having trouble

Like the title says I'm having trouble routing my USB cable. The threads I have looked at have all had the ecu wires going into the fire wall in the box mine is different. In the very back of my box once everything is taken out there is a fan to cool the ecu not a place to run the USB has anyone had this problem or dose someone know the way to rout this one ill post some pics up soon I get off work

In my 07, there were two holes. The top one was the fan. There is one underneath that (partially hidden) that goes directly through the firewall.

I ran mine over the top of the ecu through the door jamb. My cover still fits on the ecu to protect from water and I can remove it very easily. I tie wrapped the USB cord and stuck it in the door pocket. Simple solution!

The hole you are accessing is at the back of the box, center and to the bottom. It has no wires going into it.
