Sound like something is lose.
It's also vibrational.....not synced to engine or anything else.
But the knock makes me want to say a motor which is periodically on/off.

Ok first off.....try this.
Find my DIY on N54 Serpentine Belt and Upper and Lower Pulley.
Read it Only.
Familiarize yourself with all the parts.....screws....clips and all.

Wait till morning when engine is cold.
Now start stressing each part for a something lose.

Also.....underbelly Plastic shield and Wheel Arch plastic covers.....all screws in place.
Last.....Front Brake Vents.....are they installed correctly.

Keep us posted.
