E90 rear ball joint installation depth

I refreshed my rear suspension in my lci e90, replacing all the rear trailing arm bushings, ball joint, and control arms. I took it to get aligned and the driver side was able to get to the stock -1.5 camber with stock recommended toe. However the passenger side maxed out at -1.2.

I did some rework to the installation depth of the outer rear trailing arm bushing to match the driver side a bit more. I wouldn't think that would change much, if anything. I wondered if how far into the knuckle ear the ball joint is pressed would affect adjustments much. The ball joint sleeve is wider than the knuckle ear it's pressed into, so it could be installed more front or rear relative to the car. You can see in figure 1 here where the ball joint is noticeably more rear.

After adjusting the depth of the outer rear trailing arm bushing, I changed the depth of the ball joint on the passenger side to look more like figure 1, but that is definitely a different depth than the driver side. Ideally I would think they should match side to side, right? But if I want to get to the factory -1.5 on the passenger side, would changing that affect anything? 0.3 degrees sure isn't much.
