I believe the 8500k thunders are both brighter and bluer than the mtecs. I can not say for sure since I have not seen the mtecs, but the thunders definitely look bluer/brighter in pics. All I can say is I have the thunders and they are very bright and very blue. Too blue for me, but definitely really bright.

Well from my understanding in this thread the higher temperature you go the less light output you get. Meaning less bright so technically if this is true then the Mtec Cosmos Blue would definitely be brighter.
The Mtec Cosmos Blue are 4750k
The Gp Thunder are 8500k

I too want a blueish tint to my angels but if it means sacrificing brightness then no way...
So it seems to me that the Mtec Cosmos Blue have the best of both worlds.
Brighter and Blueish tint.

Yes, I put in the GP thunders today, very bright, very blue. I like the bright, but they are too blue for me. They would look good on a black/white car imo, but not so much with my sprakling graphite. So I ordered some mtec super whites and cosmos blue AND an H3 super white for the inside bulb, when the mtecs all get here I will let you guys know what I think and post pics.

Do you guys want pics of fogs or angel eyes? Probably eyes, right?

Bad news, the seller just e-mailed me and the H8 super whites are oos for two weeks. So I told him to ship they all together, so no pics for two weeks.

I agree, the gp's are a little too fake looking IMO, too blue, a little ricey.

Absolutely. Here are pics (they are much brighter in person, but it's a camera so what can you do):

Lights off:

As soon as I get the mtecs I will try them all and take a biiillion pics. I have a decent camera, but it's hard getting it to capture accurate color *and* light output. I will try my best. The pics above accurately show the color I am seeing in person, but not quite the brightness.

EDit: thanks for the pics...light blue/ hint of purple is how i would describe them from the pics.

Ya I guess I see the purple. It's less obvious in person, they look really blue to me in person, especially in the dark. Oh well, as soon as I get all the other ones I will just post as many pics as possible.

I will probably get rid of the thunders, but that's just a personal call. They look too fake to me, too blue-y.

They do look really blue--but not any "brighter" than my MTEC Super Whites--I am guessing that all of these are pretty comparable, with slight differences in the small amount of color that is put off--either blue, white, or purple. Personal pref, right?

Yep. I will let you know for sure which is brighter when I get the Mtecs, gonna be a little bit though.
