Cost of new OEM Rotors and Brakes?

So I took my car into the dealership since it was due for some new brake pads, they informed me that the rotors were also below recommendation. Then quoted me $840 to fix it. That seemed a little high to me, even for a BMW, does this sound about right? or am I being taken for a ride, so to speak?

Thanks!

That's not bad for all four corners. If that's just one axle buy your parts from ECS and go to an indie

Yeah, I guess I should have been more specific. It's only for the front axle.

Several reputable independent BMW shops will do it for less than $500 including sensors, OEM pads, OEM rotors, reprogramming, and bed-in.

Or you could do it yourself for around $300.

If this is your first brake service, and you have around 50k miles, I would also recommend a brake fluid flush.

Get the Z4 35is rotors. Better than the stock ones.

Im going to need new rear brakes in the near future. I don’t really have the capabilities to do it myself or the required tools. Can anyone recommend a indy shop in & around the Philly Area? That is for ~$500; I would rather support an indy than the dealer

Just got rear brakes (Rotors, Pads & Sensors) replaced for $494.76 at West German in Ft. Washington. Ive had the car since 51K, I have 83K now. Its a 6 speed which saves alot on the wear

Two reputable shops in Philly. You may be closer to one or the other depending on location.
