My car was built mid-February, so I missed the boat. I am hesitant to do the mod since it would probably void my warranty on the new car. Am I safe to assume this? Thanks!

All the parts and software (if required) used for this retrofit are OEM.

In the worst, absolute case only your CIC/Combox warranty could be voided, but only if the dealership can prove that the addition of the 6NR feature caused a malfunction that requires warranty work.

You are not getting the whole car warranty voided just because 6NR was retrofitted, if that's what you are talking about.

Question for those that did the retrofit. Do you need to use the y cable for this to work? Because my y cable won't work with the iPhone 4.

You will be using a new Y cable for 6NR with the PlugIn feature retrofit(video and USB).

Thanks technic. Now I just need to figure out why my iphone4 doesn't work with the y cable. It didnt work with BMW y cable nor the 6nr retrofit cable.

It doesn't "click" in. But with the USB apple cable it works.

Any idea why? Is my iPhone 4 a defect?

Solved the problem. The apple bumper cover prevented old cables from "clicking" in. After i removed the bumper cover, everything is perfect

I have just got the 6NR retrofit and it works great. Patryk was awsome in helping me do the installation and the programming was quick with no issues or concerns. the Support that Patryk provided during my installation was the best. he helped me take out the needed parts and change the approriate wires in order to prepare for the Mod.

You can use a new iPod touch (with iOS 4.x) and just use the WiFi hotspot feature on your phone to give the iPod a signal; that's what I'm gonna do.
