Cost to repaint bonnet
Evening
I have some (what i think) is bird s**t marks on the bonnet of my car.. i have tried rotary and da polishers and even wet sanding but they have marked it really bad... anyone know the "rough" cost of a E90 bonnet respray? Thanks in advance |

You are looking at about £500 inc materials and labour.
I got quoted £880 to have my A3 bonnet and front bumper resprayed due to stone chips - the car stayed stone chipped!

Depends where you go, BMW you will pay through the nose.
I have recently had my bonnet vandalised, got several quotes but didnt try BMW as i expected them to be a crazy price. Bumper and bonnet spay, no dents just stone chips etc so no panel beating had quotes from independents coming in between £250 and £350.

I paid 125 to get my bonnet painted. Which they primered, painted etc.
I don't know where every one else goes to where they pay near enough to paint a full car. I know people that paint full cars for 800.

I had to have my old A6 bonnet repaired and painted after a piece of wood flicked up on the motorway. Local body shop did full bonnet and blend for £300.

ridiculous price, is that BMW? I would not be paying more than £200 for a simple bonnet respray!

This thread caught my eye because the previous owner of my car left bird $hite all over the bonnet, I managed to sort it to an almost invisible level with my DA but I can still see it in a certain light, so I went along to get a quote from a guy who had previously painted an e36 cab for me to an amazing standard and believe me I am fussy. I told him I would pay him cash to paint my bonnet and front bumper, he quote £550.

When I had the bonnet resprayed on my E91 it was £321 plus vat? This also included a little bit of filling and straightening.
This was at my local BMW body shop which meant I got an approved repair certificate keeping my bodywork warranty intact. Also worth mentioning that any paint shop worth it's salt these days does not need to blend in over the wings. In my case it was a case of take the bonnet off, paint it and replace it. Perfect match first time. Anybody who claims different is clearly out of touch with modern paint and spray technology. |

If you use a modern paint shop then of course you can.
