CARBAFLO ! thats the shiznit
Like i said 100 posts ago, the "C" stuff is NLA from bmw , back then it was in a pritt stick format, but they dumped that for the special lube that they use now I lubed the seals in april, and they are STILL greasy i havent ever had squeaks BUT , avoid the silicone based interior sprays,.. they make everything inside squeak

I had replacement door seals from BMW and tried loads of other remedies, but in the end it vanished completely when I started washing the car myself. |

I am hoping to spend some time this weekend trying to sort it (in between tiling the kitchen ) as it is driving me nuts. Now also got a squeek in the drivers seat belt that creaks as the belt retracts in and out a little as you go over bumps - because it is right behind my ear, that's also annoying me Bl**dy Squeeky Beemers |

Trev and Mallard I think that you may have resolved my problem. It's been on for 2 weeks now and not a squeak. |

P.S saw your other post regarding postage from Rimmers it should have only cost you £2.50 P&P it's their default delivery setting which is expensive (and deceiving). Anyway the main thing is that you seem to have cured it... great stuff. Trev |

My E91 has this creaky seals fault. Did a search and found this thread which is very useful. Will order some Carbaflo and give it a go. You guys who have used this stuff - does it keep the noises away permanently?

Just went to order some from Rimmer Bros but they want £9.95 postage!! I called to check and apparantly they have to send it with a special courier as it is flammable - Anyone know of anywhere cheaper as the spray is only £5.10...

I've found that mine tends to do it much worse after my local dealer has washed it. They must use shampoo and wax all in one.
A quick spray of the CARBAFLO seems to sort it for a couple of months. The most important thing that I have learnt is that it is not the rubber seal that is making the noise but the sticky up sort of felt bit at the top of the door. Might try Vaseline when my hideously expensive (with posting) CARBAFLO runs out |

Isn't vaseline petroleum based? I'm sure that can cause a long-term problem with rubber seals.
I just bought 2 cans of Carbaflo, so it kind of made the P&P cheaper |

Please let this not be a problem with BMWs!! It used to drive me mad on my A3. And funnily enough the recommended fix over on Audi Sport was a BMW product

I used a kichen foam non-abrasive type sponge/scourer - Used plenty of hot soapy water and scrubbed them clean with the sponge side then used the scourer side very lightly - not enough to damage or even mark the rubber in any way. Result: non squeeking rubbers for about 3months without applying any special treatments. Hopefully a permanent solution! |

Wow, I can't beleive this is STILL a problem for BMW. This has been an issue for over 10 years - the E39 is plagued with it. You'd have thought they'd have properly fixed it by now. I was looking forward to losing this problem when I upgraded!
