Find me one unresolved rattling thread and you get a free set of pipes. Rattling is caused by improper installation/clocking.

The XI pipes are actually going to have more clearance due to the fact that they neck down to 2.5" pipes sooner. BTW we haven't changed one thing on the non-xi DP's since we released them and we've sold over 300 sets. The 3-4 threads that exist that refer to rattling were & are clear cases of improper installations which can be easily resolved by re-setting/clocking the pipes or
moving the mid pipe hanger. I haven't had one case where someone had a rattling problem that hadn't been resolved after contacting us directly.
It's just frustrating because I watched AR design take a customer z4, created the first z4 dp's available and had 13 sets ready for delivery the week after. I guess you guys are the sellers and don't actualy fab parts so you don't have control over the production. It will be nice to eventually have another more affordable xi dp though. Thanks for clearing up all the rattle reports.

That user took off with our downpipes. Disappeared with them.

We didn't simply wait until we got a response from them. We had to have another test set created which takes time when a manufacturer generally only makes 100 of something at a time. The new set will ship out to our tester on the 27th.

I had no problem with the fitment on my DP's in fact it was spot on. All you guys complaining its taking to long you have to understand the supply and demand of the situation. VRSF is not AR designs who have been manufacturing parts for these cars for much longer. Tiago is developing solid yet affordable parts for our community and has to be very careful when putting his name on something. I know he is working on exhaust, chargepipes, new intercoolers. Something all of us can enjoy. To appeal to a small group of XI's which many have already went with another brand. I would of shelved it. The market isnt there and I would put my r&D into the exhaust 5inch intercooler and a chargepipe. Thats just me Im telling you they have great customer service a quality product and are affordable for all. Many complain just go buy AR. But if Tiago says they will be ready to go you can bet its worth the wait and the 500 bucks that can go towards another mod for your vehicle.

Yea that's exactly what I said when I found out what happened... Tiago mentioned in another thread his username is VDFOSHO. I've thought about pming him but decided not to.

I PM'd him. Hopefully the guy is decent and is not just trying to get a free set of downpipes, that would be soo sad.If you are like that then you don't deserve a BMW. hopefully the guy has a good reason and is not a tool.

I doubt he'll respond because i'm sure Tiago has already PM'd him. I'm the one that will be test fitting this next set and I can promise I'm not going to do the same as the other guy. I should have them installed the weekend I get them and i'll get back to Tiago on the results and also post here if i'm allowed. I may even snag some pictures if I can and post those also if i'm allowed to do so.

Vrsf should just buy a set or ar's and duplicate. Problem solved, takes out the guess work and any possible fitment issues. Maybe that's what they are doing, makes the most sense. It would be cool to have a full 3" dp though.

So to answer the last guys question, they will be ready by spring. Oh wait, that came and went. So did summer and now we are in fall. Maybe he meant spring 2013?

I don't think it will be that long at all. I'm sending payment today and they'll probably be here by Friday at the latest. I already have an appointment for them to get installed on Saturday. I would have sent payment already but i'm trying to figure out if it would be smarter for me to wait for the 5" to come out then install myself.

Yea as long as they're here tomorrow which they should be, I'm going to have them put on Saturday. I don't know if i'm going to write up a review cause I see everyone complaining about the constant DP reviews in the N54 section... I will, however, take some pictures of the pipes off the car and on the car. Hopefully i'll also post up a video shortly after having them installed.

They follow the same basic design as our 3" but they fall down to 2.5" much sooner. We actually fitted these on a 1M before sending the first set off and they fit perfectly, I just need to confirm with that big X tranny.

You guys are having your chains yanked. It's pathetic how long it's taken to get these up and running. Do yourselves a favor and go with the AR downpipes... Decided I couldn't wait any longer on 'soon...' As it wasn't happening soon enough and payed a little more for a fantastic product. Excellent fit- no issues.

What about perfomance? If they fall down to 2.5'' much sooner, so the HP gains would be much fewer??????
