HKS before AMS. I don't think you can go wrong either way. You must be talking about exhaust right?

What do YOU want out of an exhaust? Opinions are worthless unless someone knows what your goals are.

I love my HKS exhaust. It droned between 1600 & 2000 rpm initially (with catless DPs) however after about 2000 miles it quieted down somewhat. It is still noticeable but definitely much more tolerable.

I'll tell you right now, there are so few options that are wife compliant. I actually wound up custom making a kit. I've heard the HKS and Militek are the most wife friendly.

There is a guy wanting to trade a stock exhaust +250 for his Militek down in Florida...

I have this problem as well. Wife compliance is a biatch. The cool thing with my wife owning our 335 is that if its 10hp down she can notice. So she is like my diagnostic tool hehe.

grassroots exhaust test stated that hks was the quietest of the bunch they tested but of course,no mention about drone.i think their car was a manual anyway. after watching some videos ,i think ams may be pretty quiet too.
