Limp mode again but this time its different ?

I been getting the limp mode lately.

It goes up to 4500 rpm and wont let me go pass that and engine malfunction . reduced power comes on.

but when I am stepping it slowly it will let me go pass 4500 RPM and go all they way to the end.

Any ideas whats causing this ? thnx

Going light throttle doesn't create boost so you don't hit limp mode

but once you hit boosts, you go into limp mode and get a failure.

If you're 100% stock, most likely the HPFP

But, if you're heavily modded, you COULD have blown off your charge pipe.
I did that once; thought it was the HPFP and crawled home.
Only to pop the hood and see what really happened.

I would bet its a boost leak from your new intercooler.....Check your intercooler piping.

Sounds like a boost leak to me as well. Can also check your stock chargepipe is seated properly.

Piggy back tune. I'm assuming now that you are not running a tune.
