Which car to buy?

It's been a year since I posted anything on here, mainly because I sold my 335i and got a Mazda CX-5

It was a necessary move but now it's feasible to buy a BMW again

. So I had the car already built in my mind, a Blue M4 with a orange interior. I started browsing around at looked at the Corvette Stingray Z06, the best looking thing I have seen and of course the M4 can't even compare to it's performance.

The best part is that it's only 10k more than the M4 after the added options. My only concern is what it'll be like as a daily driver. Will I have to keep the Mazda as a spare or will the corvette be fine by itself? I'm single and have no kids so no needs from that area. I regularly move between the cities of Dallas, Houston, and Austin.

If you went from a 335i to a CX-5 and now are contemplating a new M3/M4, I'd say you're better off investing in some good index funds.

Save/grow your wealth now, enjoy life later. There will always be something newer cars coming out.

Investing is the main reason I bought the CX-5 and waited to buy the M4, now I have enough to spare... so yea

Seems like you are in a situation that fit the Z06. It's more exciting of a car, get it. I always wanted a new 911 but when it suited my needs I couldn't afford one and now it doesn't fit my needs and when it will again it has likely changed to an artificial FI hybrid thingy with little resemblance to what I once desired. Even if you find you don't like it, at least you know that and can move on to something more practical as an M4.

You'll be fine. go for the 2 seater now that you don't need the space

Keep options low or else get Z06

Or future proof and get an M3

no bad decisions.

I would get the Z06 and comp seats and call it a day. Too much badassery to pass up. Now if you think you might need 4 doors the M3 could be an option as the other poster mentioned.

If it was stingray vs M4 I think the decision would be harder.

I'd probably vote for getting a regular C7 and splitting the savings between investments and mods.

Z06 is an easy choice. If you wait a few extra months you can probably score a few deals on one as well.

Agreed. Get a low mileage C7 stingray and do some mods. Unless you plan to track regularly the Z06 is too much car, IMO
