Updating software needed Coventry/Leicester area

Hi

Is there anybody in my area would come and do update on software on e53 x5 ?

I know it's not e9x but I own one of those too and would like coding on that as well

Can anybody help or suggest reliable company/person

What you are asking for is a professional service. To update an entire car requires 4 things:

1. Correct software - ISTA P
2. Correct hardware - ICOM or OPPS unit
3. A stable power supply of 13.8v
4. Most importantly...someone who knows what they are doing.

For a full update in one hit, unless you can guarantee the above, take it to a dealer / specialist...

Just my opinion.

I'm not requesting a full update

I need gearbox control unit updating only

There has not been any swap of hardware

Simply want the updated file to be put on car for gearbox

Ah, that's a completely different matter which wasn't specified in your opening post.

You could do this yourself with half a days reading and a cheap cable....
