[Review] M-Force Design Front Splitters

Introduction
The front splitters for the E90 is one of the simplest modification a BMW owner can do to their car. Not only does this mod only take minutes, but it also sets your car apart from the multitude of stock E90s on the road. Although the M-Tech front adds much more texture and shape to the front bumper, the front splitters add a subtle twist to the original look. Prices for the OEM front splitters can be pricey ($299x2 MSRP), and definitely did not seem "fair" for a rather small change. There are several vendors on this forum (e90post.com) that offer replica front splitters for the E90 at much lower prices. These vendors not only offer the carbon fiber offered by BMW, but also offer painted splitters to match the colour of your car. In this review, we will be consider the paint, fitment and PR of M-Force Design and their painted front splitters.

Test Vehicle: 2008 BMW 328xi Jet Black
Parts Purchased: Jet Black Painted Front Splitters ($220 shipped) - M-Force Design

Shipping
My payment for the front splitters from M-Force Design cleared on August 1 and was received on August 28. I live in Toronto, Ontario, CANADA and the total time taken from the cleared payment to the received date was 28 days.

The product came in the box pictured below. Each splitters was wrapped individually in bubble wrap and packaged with many Styrofoam "S"s. It was shipped via USPS and came with no external damage, paint chips or warping.

Score: 9.5/10

Paint Quality
The paint match against the Jet Black of the car was 100%. There are no scratches or paint chipping although there was a bit of orange peel and swirls (just like OEM paint!).

Score: 8.5/10

Fitment
The fitment of the splitters is one of the most important aspects that buyers consider when purchasing non-OEM parts. I have been previously been disappointed with the fitment (and paint) of Adamaster's front splitters and the fitment was what I was looking for.

The product came with 3M tape already installed on various key points. The tape was securely attached and was where I wanted/expected them to be. I found this to be nice of M-Force Design to pre-install the tape to save the buyer's time and make installing their product easy and stress-free.

Although the splitters felt thin (about the thickness of a penny), they felt sturdy, flexible and resilient. They also came with pre-drilled holes to line up with the screws on the bottom of our bumpers. It was very convenient and saved me a lot of time.

I started with the driver-side splitter first. The fitment was almost perfect. Everything fit nicely and required no bending or fixing to get it to sit on my car. The only issue was the top corner. There is a 5mm gap between the OEM bumper line and the top of the splitters. On a black car, it is almost invisible, but on a different coloour (AW or other light cars), this "double line" may be more visible. Again, this is a very minor fitment issue.

As for the passenger-side splitter, it was perfect. PERFECT. Everything rested flush against the bumper, stuck nicely and had no issues what so ever. Perfection.

Score: 9.5/10

Customer Service
Last, but not least, customer service. It was a pleasure dealing with PJ from M-Force Design. He was helpful during the entire process and was easy to talk to. Since I did not have any issues with the splitters, I cannot comment on PJs conflict resolution although I do imagine it to be a pain-free process.

Score: 10/10

Conclusion
I would definitely recommend PJ@M-Force Design. Their products are superb and really reflect the type of service to be expected from M-Force Design. They were a pleasure to work with, and they will most surely get my business in the future.

Final Score: 9.5/10

Fit really really nice! I find that over time you can start to see some that the splitters doesnt adhere to the body as good.

best fit I've seen to date - do yourself a favor and get them clear bra'ed - otherwise you'll be repainting in under 2 months!

Just take them off, and reinstall the tape!

That gap you have on the side is because the tape might be bad. Try putting new fresh 3m tape on the edges. Mine is gone.

We have it in-stock ready to ship!

Beware of cheap quality products, they chip and have terrible fitment.
