As it would absolutely figure, I'm going back out to LA from 10/27-11/03... I don't know what's worse... picking it up and leaving it so soon or waiting and taking delivery when I get back. I'm thinking the latter.

I really wonder how many BMW's are at the port--3 ships have left the port since 10/10...and my car did not make any of them...even the latest- Faust- Which is the largest car carrier in the world, supposingly... This is frustrating, the next friggin ship doesnt leave until NEXT Weds. Ridiculous.

Lease Question:
My car is scheduled to get to the NY/NJ port on 10/23...I figure I'll be able to pick it up somewhere between 10/30 and 11/6. I'm locked in at the current 0.0020 MF from Sept when I ordered. Do I have any wiggle room for when I can pick it up? Obviously, I want it as soon as possible...but I kind of want to wait till 11/2 when the lease rates are updated, just to make sure I get the best rate. How many days does it usually take from arriving at port to delivery at the dealer?

Even if it arrives early... you don't have to pick it up until you're ready. (If we're only talking a week or so)
My car's supposed to arrive to port on the 22nd, but I'll be out of town until the 3rd, so I'm thinking that might actually work FOR me.

My car has been sitting at the NJ/NY port since 10/2. I'm not have any work done, so I'm starting to think somthing's wrong with the car. Anyone else experiencing delays for no apparent reason?

Geez... no, but that does rain on the excitement a little... knowing the same thing might happen. I'd call your dealership. My current car said it was at the port for two weeks after I had already been driving the car. For some reason it wasn't updated in the system. Might it be possible the car is at the dealership but they're busy and not in any rush since the month doesn't end for another two weeks? I'd give them a call.

I just came them a call, but it's the end of the day. I stopped by the dealer on Thursday and the car wasn't there. I'm getting anxious (or paranoid) since this car is replacing the 09 that BMW is buying back. I just hope they're not jerking me around somehow.
...The dealer just called and said many of their cars are being held up at the port by the EPA.

They've treated me well, but I'm just the type that wants more info on a regular basis.

I hear ya. I agree completely, though they should know that. Many of the people who buy these cars are enthusiasts like you, me and the rest of the folks on here.

Hey, my car has been at the VPC since 10/7. The dealer said this past week but then it didnt arrive and then now its pushed to sometime next week. This is definitely the most frustrating part when you know the car is close but its not here!!
